 Final Report       Spicy Palau Our group project brought together four creative fields, Theatre, Visual Arts, Music, and Dance to explore and honor the cultural heritage of the First Peoples of Trinidad and Tobago. By combining our different talents, we aimed to create a performance that was meaningful, respectful, and rooted in storytelling. Each discipline played a unique role in shaping the final presentation, from the movement of the performers to the visual design, the rhythm of the music, and the direction that guided the narrative. Working together allowed us not only to showcase our individual strengths but also to appreciate how deeply connected the arts truly are. Below, we reflect on how each field contributed to bringing this performance to life. Monique La Chapelle             Singer, Songwriter, Musician, Composer, Music Educator       This blog speaks on guest speaker, Monique La Chapelle. Monique La Chapelle work  incorporates the meeting of education, art and her main target, community. She's a talented  singer, songwriter, musician, and educator in Trinidad and Tobago. We might better know her for  her skills in piano, guitar, steel pan and her most beautiful instrument, her voice. Monique’s  motive is to, “Hug peoples’ hearts with her music”, wanting her listeners to feel understood and  unwind after a long day. Her music consists of soft, romantic vibes that leave you feeling good.   In 2016, she began journey by pursuing her first-year certificate in UWI DCFA and bachelor’s  degree in Musical Arts. Reflective Entry #1

 F irst Peoples' Community Center       In the planning and development stage, our group met on 26th September 2025, during our Caribbean Lab class (Figure 1). We discussed each member’s name and address to help us discuss and plan when and how to visit the First Peoples’ Community Center. We then selected a date for the visit that matched the First Peoples’ Activity Week schedule and prepared questions to ask during our visit on Saturday, October 11th, 2025.   Figure 1: Picture of first group meeting to plan our steps of investigation      During the execution stage, our group gathered at the Arima Police Station on Broadway Street, Arima, at 10:30 a.m. After learning that the event was postponed to later that day at 3:00 p.m., we decided to visit the Hyarima Statue located at the corner of Hollis Avenue and Railway Road in Arima, as shown in Figure 2.
